Hello! This is another of the vintage dresses I bought the other day. Sadly, all I have done in it is watch The Office (the UK version, my sister has never seen it), eat leftover pizza, have a nap (what? It's my uni break, I am really bored) and clean my room. I have mentioned before that I am really, really messy, so cleaning my room has been a two day affair and I am still nowhere near having it look presentable. I would have taken pictures to prove it but... I was too embarrassed. It was that bad! I am looking forward to having it all nice and organised and finally being able to decorate it.

Anyway! Enough about room-cleaning (never thought I would have to say THAT), on to the outfit...





I am happy because tonight I get to see someone I like very, very much. Hee!

Hello hello! After having an interview this morning (keep your fingers crossed for me, it's between me and two other girls!), I met up with one of the girls I used to work with, who got a job today! Hooray! This is one of three vintage dresses I bought in Fremantle yesterday. Oops. Um, how does unemployment go again?

Needless to say, I am very much enjoying not having to wear black for 75% of my outfits. I am not sure how well-received the stockings are - whenever I wear them out I am guaranteed to get asked for I.D. So I probably DID wear this exact outfit when I was four WHAT OF IT AND HAND ME MY GIN AND TONIC PLEASE.

I have a weakness for beautiful underthings, even if I am the only one who knows that they are there! So I am especially glad I found this adorable lingerie line. I found Hopeless Lingerie through their Twitter page and I am thoroughly enchanted by it. It looks so delicate and beautiful - almost too nice to keep under your clothes (but, well, please do so while out in public).  Here are my favourite pieces from their collection, which was inspired by the movie Jaws! How awesome is that? I can't say that seeing sharks tear off chunks of human flesh has ever inspired me to make something so pretty.

Chrissie Navy Blue Silk Halter Top with Flounce

I don't know if flounce is a technical term (I mean, obviously I assume it is if it's in the description) but it makes me utterly delighted that it is. "What are you wearing?" "Oh, just my shirt with FLOUNCE." I really love navy blue but I can never find any pieces of it! This is beautiful. Sadly I cannot ever wear it, as it's not recommended to go larger than a C-cup, but maybe some more smaller-bosomed ladies will enjoy it!

Meadow Georgette & Silk Camisole

Another thing I really like about all these pieces is that they still look quite sweet and innocent, for lingerie. They look almost (almost!) like you could confidently wear them out. This style usually looks quite odd on me but it doesn't stop me appreciating what a gorgeous piece it is!

Hooper High Waisted Red Organic & Soy knickers with Georgette Detail and Meadow Navy Blue and White Organic Soy & Cotton Jersey Knickers

I LOVE the look of high waisted knickers, which are probably affectionately nicknamed by most people as "granny panties". Ahem. They should REALISE that it is actually SUPER RETRO AND CUTE to have high waisted underwear. A lot more sexy than shapwear, as well, and perfect for days when you can't stand the sight of your stomach (hopefully I am not the only one who has these days).

Ellen Navy and Red Silk Garter Belt

I am currently having a love affair with garter belts. In winter, I am pretty much constantly in black stockings and it makes me feel a bit more cute having them attached to a garter belt (plus, it is like having a cool little secret! Well, not any more really). ANYWAY, I only have some tacky and cheap looking ones but this one is absolutely divine. I'm not sure how it is under clothes, since it would be kind of like wearing another little skirt underneath. But no matter! It is gorgeous. Plus, NAVY BLUE NAVY BLUE NAVY BLUE.

This is what I wore to go and get my hair cut (as you saw yesterday) and then hang around at home, packing for my trip to Bunbury (which is occuring AS YOU READ THIS! TECHNOLOGY!). All is still quiet on the job front, I am actually looking forward to going back to uni and having something to do again! I'm going to look into getting some work experience this semester, or at least by the end of the year. If you've had any experience please let me know how it all works!





I will write a proper review soon but can I just say AGAIN how happy I am with my hair and especially my new hairdresser! She was so, so, so lovely. Good customer service makes me very happy. Also I am wearing almost no makeup in these pictures so apologies for looking so pale and GRIM.

This is hardly a huge departure in hairstyle for me, but SO STRAIGHT AND SO SHINY it had to be documented. I went to a new hairdresser (at Lee Wallis in South Perth) which I will have to write up sometime because I am so so happy with it!

So I pretty much ended my heels vendetta and promptly bought three new pairs. I love, love, LOVE them all so much, but have not yet had the chance to wear them, as my uni break and recent unemployment means that I am basically laying on the couch like a slob 80% of the time (the other 20% is sleeping, obviously. Actually it's more of a 50-50 split). Anyway, I got these electric blue, studded boots from Myer (on sale, from $100 down to $34), and the clogs and leopard-print booties from Rubi Shoes, bought in a buy one, get one half price deal.

The clogs are actually the most comfortable out of the three, despite their precarious height, and the leopard boots are definitely the least comfortable. They don't have much support around the toe - by now I am used to a platform of some kind - and so they reeeally start to hurt the front of my foot after a while. They may be delegated to dinner-and-movie shoes before long. As for the Miss Shop ones, I have to say that ankle boots usually make me look a bit Stumpytown. BUT I have two pairs from Miss Shop that I deem suitable and while not exactly leg-lengthening, they do NOT make me feel like more of a hobbit than I already am. Points to Myer!
