Hey guys! I thought I would share some of my favourite Restyle outfits from this week. Here's my week one link list!

I absolutely love T's wine-coloured jumper, and S's DIY star print jeans over at Le Fanciulle.

This dress is the first one I bought for Restyle. I wasn't totally sold on it - it looks like a giant sack if you don't add the fabric belt! - and I'm still not sure about the length, but at $6 I felt like I could try and make it work! I had this outfit in mind, but this is a much, much more casual version! It was just one of those ridiculously lazy Sundays where you spend all morning in bed and then end up watching Seinfeld episodes all afternoon.

Hello again! Here's my latest Restyle outfit. Sorry I don't look very smiley in these pictures, it was so hard to get out of bed and get ready for work! I haven't had a Saturday off since... April, I think? This was one of those days when I just wanted to stay nice and cozy under the covers! What a first world problem, eh?

Anyway! I got one of my deliveries from ASOS on Thursday, which included this adorable jukebox-print shirt. It happened to go quite well with my op-shopped skirt - which was actually surprisingly hard to match with any of my tops! I bought it because it reminded me of an old Valleygirl skirt I have, but  the print on this one is a little more extreme so it's hard for it to not look too clashy with other printed tops.


I bought the navy heels ages ago but they are still one of my favourite ever op-shop finds. They are navy (which I am obsessed with these days), they have a very manageable heel height and they have this lovely velvet bow on the toes. And they fit perfectly! Score!

Hey guys! I had an unexpected day off today so Aidan and I are going to have a nice lunch date and then go and see BATMAN (or The Dark Knight Rises, whatever). I'm so excited! I LOVE the Christopher Nolan Batman movies. I have only heard good things about the Dark Knight Rises, too... eep! I am already wriggling around with anticipation!

I bought this dress early this week. I wasn't sure if I would ever wear it... but it's kind of growing on me. A little Alexa-Chung-circa-two-years-ago. I still love these shoes too, by the way (you can also see them in Tuesday's post!). Totally fug but oh so comfy.

I feel like this week has just been filled with good things. Yesterday I smashed the budget at work (yeah!!) and picked out some of my birthday present, then booked tickets to Elton John, then had a ridiculously delicious dinner at Takas with my mum, sister and her boyfriend (try the teriyaki beef, thank me later). And today I have BATMAN and then drinks for a friend's birthday! Oh what a wonderful start to August it's been.

p.s I realised today that it's been over a year since I got my tattoo! I still absolutely love it every day and I haven't regretted it once. I really want to get another one for my birthday this year but I haven't found anything I really love yet...

Hey! So I'm just taking a quick break from Restyle photos to share this review that was published in Xpress a couple of weeks ago. It's been making its way around the internet and I'm so proud to be a part of that magazine! Like, insanely proud!

A couple of the reposts have cut off the author (boo!) but it's by Chloe Papas. She is rad. Obviously.

I got my babe of a friend Lisa (also a fellow Restyler!) to take my photos for me today, which is why they're much better than my usual efforts! This is a dress I got a little while ago... maybe even a couple of years ago? I actually bought it when I was starting up an online vintage shop, but I ended up keeping this one. It reminds me so much of something they would wear on the Mary Tyler Moore Show! Maybe it's the print? And the long sleeves?

Hello! I picked a rather special dress to kick of my month of 30 Days of Restyle. I found this wildly patterned one in a Vinnies - it was a bit more expensive than their average stuff, but I think you'll agree it was worth it! It was made in India (!) and I don't know if it shows up in the photos very well, but it has a beautiful gold running through the pattern. It certainly brightened up my day at work!

I always describe my style as 'funky art teacher' or 'cool librarian' whenever I wear a loafers and cardigan combo, haha! I think it suits it pretty well...

I was pretty happy to find that I didn't have to do many alterations to this dress, except for hastily ripping out the shoulder pads this morning (luckily they weren't sewn into the lining!). I think it could probably be taken up a couple of inches, but for now I am super happy with how it looks! Such a ridiculously comfy dress to wear to work.


I'm also trying out some new beauty products today. I bought a new Revlon lip stain in a dark pink (I wear my red one ALL THE TIME. It is great), I have on some Australis mascara and I have a Rimmel nail polish on. I was impressed that it actually DID dry in 60 seconds like it promised! So nice not to have to wave my hands around in the air for five minutes after painting my nails. Also, is it just me or do Rimmel products smell really nice? And not so chemical-y? Am I a weirdo for smelling my nails after I've painted them?
